as if you didnt already know
On January 21, 1987, as details of the Contra organization and its improbable supporters came to light, the FBI interviewed Dennis Ainsworth. The transcription of the interview, dated February 27, 1987, informs the Bureau of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force's (FDN) intentions to sell arms and cocaine for profit, rather than in an effort to overthrow the Sandanista government. Ainsworth's narratives involving Calero, the head of the FDN, Dowling, a prominent FDN spokesperson, and Owen, a secretive go- between, point out the profundity of the FDN's acquirement of weapons and monetary support in the United States. In an attempt to participate with the FDN, Ainsworth invited Adolfo Calero to San Fransisco to speak before prominent audiences. During one visit, Calero introduced Ainsworth to Rob Owen. Owen worked for the National Security Council under Oliver
North. The three men, united by “the ideology of creating opposition against the revolutionary Sandanista government,” drove to Sacramento. While in the car, “Owen opened his briefcase and conversed in the back seat...with Calero about weapons, referring from time to time to a list of various weapons that Owen was carrying with him and Adolfo Calero discussed his weapons needs(Federal Bureau of Investigation).” Ainsworth's eyewitness account confirms a direct relationship between the National Security Council and the Nicaraguan Democratic Force. The NSC unabashedly met with and gave arms to a Contra group. This same “rebel group” received money through fund raising efforts made by a Catholic priest named Tom Dowling.

Mr. Poland
I hunt.
I hunt truth.
I take aim and look truth square in the eye.
Truth in Cool Man Spray Shit.
Monsters, Witches, and Wolves.
I know my enemy.
I defile and deface it.
I warp and replace it.
My enemy loves me.
Truth finds solace in the barrel of my gun.

i found this today
i write. i write on clean lined paper. i write and steal my boyfriend's alprazolam. alprazolam is generic for xanax. my boyfriend is not generic. i like to think my writing isn't either. i like sexy. beer makes me shit. shit on beer. shit on marijuana. mind numbing marijuana. only so much time to "get it together." only so much time to fuck. fuck blow jobs. shit on dicks. or sit on dicks. my head is made of lead pipes. hit it as hard as you want; the only thing you'll get is a sound like hollow, and bruised knuckles. i have sharp knuckles. my sharp knuckles allow me to write on this clean lined paper. oh, and give fantastic blow jobs. hit it as hard as you want. as hard as i let you. become a living thing. no just a breathing thing living. no such thing as hiding. breakdowns acceptable. making people, living thing people, find you is cruel.

A consumer society destroys individulaism. In a world of markets managed by barcodes, and by purchasers endowed with credit cards, children are progressively deprived of the possiblity of identifying themselves through their parents. With a shift in consumer demand from necessity (which can be satisfied) to desire (wich can never be fulfilled), a child lives for the adrenaline hit of an important purchase. A purchase that defines who they are. Marketing's use of psychology, sociology, and motivational research to manipulate public opinion begs the question: does happiness lie in consumption?
